Dissidia 012[duodecim] Snapshots
The innovative team back at Square Enix was kind enough to show fans some snapshots of their next Dissidia game, Duodecim. Although the name is still quirky at best, it’s no surprise that the magic and allure the first Dissidia left was picked up by its successor. From the screens below, we can see Tifa Lockhart, Lightning, and Kain Highwind from Final Fantasy IV as playable characters. Tifa also has her Advent Children alternate outfit available.
The game has a new system in place, an Assist system, which allows a second chosen character to temporarily join the battle, and having four characters simultaneously moving around the battlefield. Other systems, like Brave/HP attacks and the items, have been retained.
Duodecim is due for release in Japan by Q1 2011. Enjoy the snaps below…

Where’s Final Fantasy XII in the character lineup? Vaan? Ashe? Balthier?
THEY SKIPPED ONE FINAL FANTASY GAME!!! If they managed to put in Shantoto and Lightning, why not someone from Final Fantasy XII too?

I’m a Final Fantasy fan, and I’d ask for this type of game. My prayers have been answered when Dissidia arrived! All I had before was the PSOne fighting flop Erhgeiz.
This isn’t really the type of game that a Final Fantasy fan would ask for… But man, have you seen how gorgeous Tifa looked!
