Final Fantasy Anniversary Box Announced

During the opening ceremonies of the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Event in Shibuya, Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto revealed a limited collectors edition of Final Fantasy just right for the 25th anniversary.

Hashimoto presented the “Final Fantasy Anniversary Box” to all those present in the event after the gates opened. The box will weigh a massive 5 kilograms, and will cost around JPY35,000 (or roughly USD450) sans shipping. The box will be available exclusively in the Square Enix e-Shop beginning December 18, 2012.

The heavy box contains the games from the main numbered Final Fantasy series, plus a ton of goodies, and an in-game item as well. Specifically, the package houses:

    • Final Fantasy: single disc, Playstation
    • Final Fantasy II: single disc, Playstation
    • Final Fantasy III: single UMD, Playstation Portable
    • Final Fantasy IV: single disc, Playstation
    • Final Fantasy V: single disc, Playstation
    • Final Fantasy VI: single disc, Playstation
    • Final Fantasy VII International: 4-disc set, Playstation
    • Final Fantasy VIII: 4-disc set, Playstation
    • Final Fantasy IX: 4-disc set, Playstation
    • Final Fantasy X: 1 DVD, Playstation 2
    • Final Fantasy XI Vana’diel Collection: 1 DVD, Playstation 2
    • Final Fantasy XII: 1 DVD, Playstation 2
    • Final Fantasy XIII: 1 Blu-ray, Playstation 3

    • Special Anniversary Video Disc

    • 2-disc 25th Anniversary Sound Collection

    • Crystal Artworks: 25th Anniversary Art Collection

    • Miniaturized replica of Yoshitaka Amano’s 25th Anniversary Artwork, framed and numbered (with stand)

    • Final Fantasy XIV in-game item code for Mogu Mogu earring.
