Plot Summary:
When an alien having the speed of Mach 20 destroyed 3/4s of the moon in an instant and is planning to destroy the earth in one year, how would you destroy him? The earth’s future now lies on the students of class 3-E of the Kunugigaoka Junior High School as this alien, named by his students as “Koro Sensei”, decided to teach this class for an entire year before he blows up the earth by March. Using weapons designed specifically to kill Koro-sensei, these students would have to both attend school with this alien as their teacher and try to kill him to save the world.

Impressions: Oraez
Again we enter the glory days of anime in a school setting – the kind that just doesn’t seem to falter as the younger generation get to see themselves in the shoes of certain characters in that story and young adults get to reminisce their past and think of what they would have done if they were in that position. A school setting given a twist of not just learning from your alien teacher, but also having to kill him for the sake of the planet’s future.
Audiences who are fond and/or grew fond of their teachers would find themselves at a conflicted situation as Koro sensei exudes the features that one would like as a teacher – intelligent yet humorous, strict yet caring, has a quick reaction time but still fumbles like a human being when flustered at times. While he’s a destructive high-speed alien on the outside, he’s got a heart of a hands-on teacher. At the end of every episode, you will always find yourself asking: will you have the heart to kill this teacher for the sake of the earth?
Verdict: WATCH
P.S.
The opening theme of this anime is very very nice too!
