Chylle’s Impressions
What I like about naughty and perverted series is if they present it and package itself as a naughty and perverted series. This gives me no reservations as I dive straight in and expect just that. I am glad I that is what they did with this show so I can place it in the same department of guilty pleasures that I have no qualms with proclaiming that I did watch it for said perverse reasons like High School DxD and Sora no Otoshimono. Despite being another demon lord and hero tandem story, this one is set rather plainly with both main characters as high school students. It simply takes a rather strange twist to make them both sibling in-laws (good thing Japan does not have laws against non-blood related relationships, right?) of course that is never an impetus for more romcom hijinks. Is what I would like to say. Despite that, the first episode is rather tame with only a couple of peculiar scenes being in the raunchy zone which should escalate rather quickly seeing as they have a literal semen demon as part of the main cast. For the most part, the show felt like something you would read out of a visual novel scenario with the main character telling overly cheesy lines of family bond and importance in trust and whatnot. Despite that I felt like it really set a cool yet heartfelt mood saying that after saving your sister in-law from a demon attack.
All in all, the art direction with its deept colors and healthy designs reflect past experiences from the staff, so to those who are going to watch it for the same reasons I do will not be let down. Although the premise may be weak; at its core, the hero-demon lord relationship is there with an added flavor of them being the idiot brother and the tsundere sister. I have some reservations with the quality in its production though as this is produced by Studio IMS they seem to have not much luck with procuring a sizable funding with their previous projects so consistency in the long run is what I am worried about.

Impressions: Pandasal
The story begins with Basara’s dad breaking the news that he’s re-marrying and Basara will have two sexy and cute little sisters. They all get to live in one household and Basara is already having a few problems.
The anime shows promise story-wise. It’s a mixture of light comedy and a heat of action. So how is it promising? Well in the first episode, Mio’s story was revealed. Being the daughter of the deceased Demon Lord Wilbert, and having most of the demon clan come after you for your powers isn’t really an ideal life for a highschool girl. Then there’s Basara. He’s from the hero clan who left the village with his dad and lived a normal life. That’s it. So which begs the question “What is Basara’s story?”. Although the fan serivces in the anime may make some viewers feel uncomfortable, but that’s what the censorship is for. The comedic scenes in the first episodes we’re typical but still fun to watch, especially how Basara reacts to his two sisters’ actions in the household.
So if you’re looking for a nice and sexy-themed anime to watch with a hint of action while getting some skin, then why not try watching Shinmai Maou no Testament?
