The July 2013 issue of Ultra Jump, released last June 19, featured the last chapter of the decade-long series “Needless.”
The final volume of the series (volume 16) will hit shelves by September 19, 2013.
Needless began its serialization last 2003, and spawned an anime series last 2009. Kami Imai, Needless author, also stated that his next work will begin by early 2014.
Needless is an action comedy manga set in the distant future, exactly half a century after World War III. One remnant of the war is the so-called Black Spot where outcasts have come to stay. Some of these outcasts gain powers called Fragments, and are thus called “Needless.” The manga tells the story of Cruz Schild, Adam Blade, and Eve Neuschwanstein.
