A few weeks ago, we reported about the Biohazard/Resident Evil HD Chronicles for the Playstation 3. This trailer shows one of the scenarios in the collection, particularly that of Claire Redfield’s sidetrips.
“BIOHAZARD CODE: Veronica” Scenario: Game of Oblivion shows a bit of the characters, the story, and gameplay. In this scenario, Claire teams up with what looks like an older version of Justin Bieber Steve Burnside, who has a questionable lack of attraction to the opposite gender after having Claire’s backside promptly emphasized, only to be shunned. The game also introduces Alfred Ashford as the main antagonist of the scenario, made obvious by the fighter jet he commandeers. Seriously, the bad guys get the good stuff!
Apart from a few cutscenes, the short trailer also shows the game’s unconvincing use of the PS Move. The gameplay shows a very wobbly targeting reticule, which is obviously one of the flaws of a motion controller (same with the Wii). Apparently, the player taking on the zombies in this preview has skills so crazy it’s difficult to accurately target zombie heads. It looked a lot more frustrating when battling against the sniper rifle-toting Alfred, since the PS Move’s shaky motions throw accuracy out the window. The game also adds quick time events using the PS Move button as its action button.
Biohazard HD Chronicles is already out in the market, available for download on the Playstation Network, and on standard PS3 blu-ray disc for the Japanese version.
