Ao no Exorcist’s first film is coming before the year ends. Kazue Kato’s manga masterpiece will be heading to the big screen this December 28th.
The Ao no Exorcist movie revolves around a yearly festival held within the territory of True Cross Academy. Rin Okumura and his friends try to stop a runaway ghost train during the festivities. At the same time, a team of exorcists have been dispatched to prevent the intrusion of demons inside the Academy grounds. Rin, however, encounters a young boy, who seems to be the reincarnation of the devil himself.
Visual art for the film was illustrated by Kazue Kato. The VA cast from the anime series will reprise their roles in the film. Takahashi Atsushi (RIDEBACK) will be directing. Yoshida Reiko (K-On!) will be in charge of screenplay, and Kimura Shinji (Tekkonkinkreet) will handle the screenplay.
Ticket pre-selling will begin on August 25th, which includes a freebie of postcards.
