Long-time manga and anime series, Fairy Tail, will debut on the silverscreen this coming August.
Fairy Tail’s first movie is entitled 劇場版 FAIRY TAIL 鳳凰の巫女 / Fairy Tail the movie: The Maiden of the Phoenix (or The Phoenix Priestess). The movie features an amnesia-stricken character named Eclair, who only remembers her quest of delivering two Phoenix Stones to a certain location. She appears before Fairy Tail, and the crew of Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Happy, and Gajeel are taken in by the mystery surrounding the amnesiac.
Mashima Hiro wrote the film’s story and character designs, with Masashi Sogo at the helm of screenplay. Fujimori Masaya will be directing the film.
Houou no Miko will premiere in Japan this coming August 18th, 2012.
