Looks like it. Seitokai ni Ichizon’s official Twitter page has confirmed a new season coming for the school comedy Seitokai no Ichizon (生徒会の一存).
To celebrate the worldwide release of Seitokai no Ichizon’s manga on July 20, the creators of the series have decided to host a live streaming event over at Nico Nico simultaneous with the release. Along with this celebration, the staff will also officially announce all the details of the upcoming Seitokai anime. It has been confirmed, however, that the new season will air this coming October 2012.
Rumors have been floating around that a new VA crew has been hired, though an official confirmation is yet to be revealed when the live stream goes on air tomorrow. The cast change is as follows, along with the new VAs’ previous seiyuu works:
- Mafuyu Shiina (椎名 真冬) ：Horinaka Yui (堀中優希) → Nomizu Iori (野水伊織) [Kore ha Zombie Desu Ka? /これはゾンビですか？：Haruna /ハルナ]
- Akaba Chizuru (紅葉 知弦) ：Saitō Yuka (斉藤佑圭) → Mina (美名) [Sora no Otoshimono f / そらのおとしものf： Mitsuki Sohara /見月そはら)
Sakurano Kurimu (桜野 くりむ) and Minatsu Shiina (椎名 深夏) are still voiced by their previous seiyuus, namely Honda Mariko (本多 真梨子) and Togashi Misuzu (富樫 美鈴) respectively.
In related news, the Blu-ray box of the first season will be released on September 28, 2012.
Also, in celebration of Blu-ray box, there will be an all-night Seitokai no Ichizon marathon on July 27 in Kadokawa Cinema, Shinjuku. Tickets will be priced at 3000 Yen each. Doors will open 10:15pm, with screening to start at 10:45pm and end at approximately 5:00am the next day.
