Planned Assassin’s Creed movie now has a protagonist

Jul 10, 2012

From 300 to X-Men to Prometheus to getting a white hooded jacket. Nice.

Looks like we have to watch this one closely, Assassin’s Creed fans. Jean-Julien Baronnet, head of Ubisoft Motion Pictures, has announced that Michael Fassbender will take the honor of donning the iconic beaked hood of the Assassin Order of this upcoming movie adaptation of the game. Fassbender, recently known for his role as the android in Prometheus, also took the role of the young Magneto of last year’s mutant flick X-Men: First Class. Baronnet said that Fassbender was their first choice for the lead role because the actor is an “extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed.”

Fassbender will also co-produce the film through his production company, DMC Film.

It’s still speculations as to what time period or which Assassin the movie adaptation will follow, moreso as to when the movie will be released.

I say it’s time to be hopeful.
